How does "The Walking Dead" manage spoilers when its expansive cast is constantly out there talking about the show? Norman Reedus is joined by the series' showrunners to talk about giving out just enough answers to fans between seasons. Plus, how can the show keep the threat of walkers viable when the group has grown very proficient at killing them?

Reedus also talks about his fan-favorite character and his evolution between seasons. While he doesn't think that Daryl will assume a leadership role in the group, he does think the character has truly grown to care for his fellow survivors, evolving from the lone wolf in seasons 1 and 2 into someone who's more of a protector in the current season.

Finally, star Andrew Lincoln (Rick) is joined by producer Gale Anne Hurd and series newcomer Chad L. Coleman, who brought the character of Tyrese to life in season 3.

While obviously, no one is spilling the beans on the big secret of season 4, we do get to see series hero Rick get to be a cop again, according to Lincoln, who says that his broken character is brought back from the edge somewhat by the mystery in the new year. "You meet Rick in a completely new place," Lincoln tells our host, saying that he was wowed by the scripts for season 4. "It's so character-driven," he adds, "You learn so much about characters that I've been desperate to know about."

The fourth season of "The Walking Dead" premieres Sunday, October 13.
